Course Objective |
The geographical scope and characteristics of the inter-relationships among the economic and political processes change due to globalisation. Tourism is not only an important part of national public policies but also an important part of global trade in services. This course focus on tourism regarding the main discussion points of the political economy such as power, decision making, production and consumption relations. The course aims to examine the interaction between the political and economic process in a society and by analysing tourism based relations to understand how welfare, economic and political power are produced, distributed and transformed. |
