Course Objective

To understand the general operations of financial system, instruments and institutions in the scope of globalization.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to list the basic functions of the Turkish Financial System
2   Understanding the importance of the Financial System and distinguishing its structural and operational features from other systems
3   To be able to explain the elements of the financial system, the purpose of the system, and the relationship between the finacial system and the real economic system.
4   To reveal the place and importance of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye in the Turkish financial system
5   Ability to explain monetary policy tools, understanding the relationship between interest rates-inflation and exchange rates
6   Being able to reveal the characteristics of the Turkish banking system and its place and importance in the financial system
7   To be able to count the criteria of financial development, to explain the relationship between financial development and economic growth.
8   Understanding the functioning, institutions and tools of the capital market
9   To be able to analyze financial crises with their causes and effects
