Course Objective

In this course students are expected to learn and evaluate the EU politics from past to present; and working principles of political party groups in European Parliament and their political stance in the EU.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To evaluate and analyse the developments in the policies of the EU
2   To gain an understanding on the structure of the European Parliament (EP) and evaluate its place in the balance of powers,
3   To understand and evaluate the EP's impact on EU policies
4   To evaluate the role of the EP and political parties in legitimacy problem
