Course Objective |
Acquire theoretical basis for use in studies to be carried out in the field of political economy and to provide comprehension of the development of the historical and theoretical ideas of Marx and his followers that make basic critique of political economy. Then enable students to do a comparative analysis of the mainstream economics and opposite approaches. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
During the 14-week course, each week, first half of the course will be devoted to instructor s lectures. Second half of the course there will be a discussion of the texts related to the subject. Reading assignments which are given each week will be discussed after a short presentation of a student. It is expected from each student to prepare a short summary related to the subject that each week reads, to make a consistent and comprehensive term work accordance with the rules of academic writing and citation on the subject that determined by the student and to present this work at the department seminar at the end of the semester or to send an abstract to an academic congress. |
