Course Objective

The aim of this course is intensify the knowledge of postgraduate students that they have taken for the duration of training period on biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, and medical biology with molecular metabolism of diseases and metabolic pathways that forms a basis of diseases.
In the application section of the course will provide to learners how to implement the current analytical techniques in hospital laboratory to monitor and diagnosis of diseases. All application demonstrations will put into practice under the guidance of a faculty member.
Knowledge of analyses that unconventional in Dokuz Eylul Hospital Laboratory will support by case report and clinical correlations, which approve by instructor.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to comprehend and understand of the basic metabolism and biochemistry knowledge (Knowledge).
2   Be able to have a basic molecular mechanism (Knowledge)
3   Be able to reach information and data-base related with the application area.(skill)
4   Be able to interpret various problems on various diseases (skill)
5   Learner has skills that present their knowledge on molecular mechanisms of diseases to academic and non-academic communities effectually (know-how)
