Course Objective

In this course, giving theoretical knowledge to develop students' skills, discussions the basic concepts of visual communication, analyzing projects, bringing objective approaches towards communication design, having live debates questioning the role of the designers and to collect them into research reports are aimed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students are expected to able to have knowledge about the basic concepts of visual communication,
2   To be able to have knowledge about the domain and scope of visual communications,
3   To be able to analyze design works in terms of visual with deep research,
4   To be able to detect distinctive elements of images,
5   To be able to analyze images via semiological approach.

4 Analyzing an past news and its further reactions.

7 Reading current news and determine the research area's title.
8 Reading notes for each students to focus individual studies.
9 Match areas of individual studies aiming communication design.
10 Critics on papers.
11 Capturing common points in news that appears unreleated to each other.
12 Critics and discussions on findings.
13 Critics and discussions on findings.
14 Ending critics, thougts and final preparation.

General discussions and sharing opinions about culturel environments is held in the first half hour. Individual meetings focusing weekly contents start immediately.
