Course Objective

To discuss the problems of the art with clay material within the framework a program that will propel the students own expressions of form into a search by discussing the traditional and contemporary sculpture samples.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The students are expected to be able to design projects in which they can find their own expressions of form by means of modelling,
2   maintain the projects within the fundamental elements of sculpture,
3   be able to constitute form-content relationship in the projects,
4   be able to finalize all the technical processes such as mould and casting,
5   be able to bring the practices with the final materials to a displayable level,

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The students are encouraged to make researches directed towards giving shape by clay over various samples of the artists. They are enabled to perform works in which they discuss form striving in line with their own inclinations. The student is guided in terms of size, material-content relationship, mould and displaying as from the stage of sketch.
