Course Objective

The main aim of the course is to equip students with tools necessary to think skillfully and maturely, but also independently on matters relating to the route optimization of energy transportation (especially oil) business and maritime industry.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students are expected to have a very good grasp of the economics of tanker business and maritime transportation of energy commodities.
2   Students are expected to understand the fundamental principles of, oil and energy ports and terminals, and in maritime trade routes.
3   Students are expected to be able to assess and manage risk in energy transportation.
4   Evaluation of the maritime energy cargo routing and maritime inventory routing that "Supply chain management" perspective in terms of maritime transportation.
5   Informing the students about tanker route planning and logistics within the framework of energy.
