Course Objective

Examining the measurement techniques used in engineering. Examining all of the measurement devices that are used in maritim industry focusing on nın-destrcutive devices. Measurement methodology and statistics. Error correction and calibration. Analysing the sensors. Examining the data received from the sensors... Making studies on these matters and designing a simple (arduino based etc.) measurement deviceand building its prottype.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understanding the measurement systematics and statistics and defining the system components.
2   Investigating the measurement sensors that are used in the devices and assembling them together as a measurement device.
3   Analyzing the measurement devices and their applications that are used in maritime industry
4   Designing a new measurement device and analyzing its system
5   Decomposing a measurement device.
6   Evaluating the new measurement device as a whole and as it is decomposed.
