Course Objective

In this course, the fundamental knowledge on the vibration and sound is given. The allowable levels of vibration and sound determined by the legislations are examined in terms of occupational health and safety and the necessary precautions are discussed.

1   To understand the fundamentals of vibration and sound.
2   To understand the effects of vibration and noise on human.
3   To make the measurement and evaluation of vibration and noise.
4   To determine the exposure limits of vibration and noise in the workplaces.
5   To make protection planning against the harmful effects of vibration and noise.
