Course Objective |
In this course, it is aimed to understanding of the mechanism of fatty acid biosynthesis, the structure and function of lipases, and the role of lipids as a defense system in plants and other organisms. It is also intended to investigate the biotechnological importance of lipids as well as biodiesel, biosurfactant, and other industrial applications. |

Assessment Criteria |
Meaningful learning of the basic concepts given in presentations, association of concepts with each other, establishing the cause-result relationships and making comments by using the information available for problems and evaluating idea generation are carried out with mid-term, final and resit exams, and presentation. |
