Course Objective

This course is aimed to provide basic legal principles and international agreements/declarations/regulations and planning legislations in Turkey which are considered the preparation and implementation of conservation plans. Students have also information about legislative powers and responsibilities of authorized agencies and institutions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will be able to follow international regulations on the protection of cultural
2   will be able to define legislations and professional and ethical responsibilities for the protection of cultural heritage,
3   will be able to recognize the cultural assets and related legislation,
4   will be able to recognize the institutional set for the protection of cultural assets,
5   will be able to associate conservation planning with the legislation,
6   will be able to evaluate existing protection legislation.
