Course Objective

In the context of this course the goal is to discuss the troubles in biosafety, biosafety applications, the biosafety rules in laboratories, waste management, the national and international regulations in bioethic and biosafety, bioethic, medical, the problems in environment and genetic.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The students will be able to produce an idea and develop a strategy about the importance of bioethic and biosafety.
2   The students will gain knowledge as to bioethic and biosafety laws and they will be able to apply the bioethic and biosafety laws.
3   The students will gain knowledge and able to develop strategy as to the human genome project, stem cell researches, organ transplation, transgenic applications and ethic.
4   The students will gain knowledge and able to develop strategy as to the person and foundations responsible for biosafety and biosafety in laboratories in the field of medical and industry.
5   The students will gain knowledge, follow and apply novel develoments related bioethic and biosafety

Assessment Criteria

Meaningful learning of the basic concepts given in presentations, association of concepts with each other, establishing the cause-result relationships and making comments by using the information available for problems and evaluating idea generation are carried out with mid-term, final and resit exams, homework and presentations.
