Course Objective |
This course aims to understand basics of solid state fermentation, solid state fermentation substrates, factors affecting this fermentation and its kinetics, fermentor designment and production of some enzymes, proteins, organic acids, pigments, etc. having biotechnological importance in solid state fermentation. |

Assessment Criteria |
Meaningful learning of the basic concepts given in presentations, association of concepts with each other, establishing the cause-result relationships and making comments by using the information available for problems and evaluating idea generation are carried out with mid-term, final and resit exams, homework and presentations. |
