Course Objective |
The major objective of the course is to present biological basics for environmental biotechnology. Major types of organisms, cellular components and their functions, enzymes and enzymatic reactions will be covered. Major metabolic pathways, microbial growth kinetics and stoichiometry of microbial growth and product formation will be emphasized. Special examples in biological wastewater treatment will be presented |
