Course Objective

Objectives of the course are to discuss industrial pollution sources and treatment technologies for each industry, to provide a basic description and understanding of the main technologies and processes for industrial wastewater treatment.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define the general properties of industrial wastewaters
2   Explain the aims of industrial wastewater treatment
3   Identify and explain the main treatment processes for industrial wastewaters
4   Develop alternative treatment plant flow schemes for different types of industrial wastewaters
5   Compare and discuss alternative applicable techniques
