Course Objective

The objective of the course is to introduce the probability concept, probability distributions of random discrete and continuous variables, parameter estimation, test of hypotheses, linear regression and correlation and multiple regression topics in the GIS analyses and RS applications. The statistical analyses of spatial data construct the main frame of the course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To classify geospatial data.
2   To compare geosptial data.
3   To choose best geospatial data model for a specific map design.
4   To interpret the role of the geospatial statistics
5   To relate theoritical knowledge to geospatial maps.
