Course Objective

To provide capabilities to perform computer aided modeling and numerical analysis in the design of mechanical systems.

1   To define the design requirements for mechanical systems
2   To construct the computer models of machine parts or assemblies
3   To construct the finite element models for machine parts or assemblies
4   To solve the static or dynamic finite element analysis
5   To compare the analysis results for different designs
6   To determine the most suitable design for actual needs
