Course Objective

The course aim to sruntinize Turkish Earthquake Codes and discuss the terms of ductility and structural irregularity.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To give information about Turkish Earthquake Codes.
2   To apply the specification for structures to be built in disaster areas to structural systems
3   To rebuilt and analyze the models recent studies in teh literature.
4   To explain the dynamic behaviour of structural system by using examples
5   To compare the earthquake codes.

7 Earthquake performance buildings
8 Mid-term examination
9 Classification of reinfortced concrete structural systems.
10 Principles design of reinforced concrete structures for earthquake resistance
11 Principles design of steel structures for earthquake resistance
12 Principles design of masanory structures for earthquake resistance
13 Rules of architectural project.
