Course Objective

Nanomaterials and nanotechnologies have been developed as a consequence of truly significant recent advances in the material science community. Nanomaterials have been widely used in the production of common consumer products, in the automotive, and other industries and also in medical applications. The course aims to investigate the properties of nanomaterials, to discuss methods of synthesis and characterizations of nanomaterials and to introduce nanomaterial product form and applications of nanomaterials in health and environment.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   This course is expected to help students to understand what benefits and costs might be associated with using nanomaterials,
2   To give the students further informations on disscussing methods of synthesis and characterizations of nanomaterials,
3   To give the students further informations about applications of nanomaterials in different areas,
4   To allow students to discuss what these new materials and technologies actually are and how they might be used effectively,
5   To develop the students analytical abilities and ability to present and criticise arguments.
