Course Objective

The objective of the course is to examine practical applications and to present examples for conserving energy and reducing energy costs in commercial, institutional, and industrial plants and facilities. The aim of this course is to appreciate current energy technologies based upon both renewable and non-renewable resources, and to understand how the resources can be managed with a view to future sustainability

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Presentations of the instructor, preparation of the assignments, presentation of the student.
The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. All class members are expected to attend and both the lecture and seminar hours and take part in the discussion sessions. Besides the taught lecture, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned for that week and presented to open a discussion session.
