Course Objective

The purpose of the thesis is to enable students show an independent study in a robust way in a selected scientific subject, scientifically solve a specific problem within a specific time frame, to complete a study obeying to ethics rules and to demonstrate that a detailed and precise work, also publishing the data in a convincing way.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning the ethical rules required to follow in a scientific study
2   Understanding how to avoid plagiarism
3   Solving a scientific problem within a spesific time period using appropriate scientific methods
4   Knowing what to do with the data gathered fort he solution of the problem at hand and handling the data sets
5   Presenting the ideas and data in a convincing way
