Course Objective

In mining industry, mechanization increases day by day. In turkey, especially in the coal mining, mechanization increases when the conditions are right. Applications of mechanization are the result of technological development. In the machines which uses in mechanization, pneumatic and hydraulic systems are used as effectively and efficiently. Electro-hydraulic, electro-pneumatic, servo and remote control elements are now an inseparable part of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
The aim of this course is to describe automatic measuring stations and functions which are constituted in mining, communication, transportation, excavation, ventilation, drainage and backfill works. Additionally usage of pneumatic and hydraulic power will be explained in this course and explained how a variety of processes can be made in mining, what elements can be chosen and introduced working principles of this elements.
