Course Objective

This course will focus on firstly collection of necessary data and then on legal and environmental design. Selection and application of mining method. Determination and selection of machine and equipment. Determination of unit costs.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand the fundamentals of underground and open pit mine planning
2   To learn the concept of ultimate pit limit design and different underground mining methods. Machine-Equipment Selection by capacity varieties
3   To learn mine gases, ventilation network, drilling + blasting associated with reclamation attempts
4   To be able to understand planning underground method selection and development works
5   To learn and plan underground panel design
