Course Objective |
The purpose of this course is to introduce the ethical issues to be faced in their professional life and the necessary rules to adhere to, to the young who are candidates for a higher level in engineering by making scientific and technical researches. The old and new theories of ethics will be introduced and ethical principles of academia profession will be discussed in the dynamic nature of science and engineering. Common methodologies used by professional engineers in society, the relationship between society and research, engineering technologies and the place and the future of technology in society s life will be discussed. Thus, the vocational problems to be faced and the ethical principles to overcome these problems for the engineers and the academics of the future, will be examined. The methodology to be used is the discussion of the many samples of problems faced in academical life, scientific researches and in engineering, with the students. |
