Course Objective

To be able to gain calculation techniques and underlying main principles in analytical mechanics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to contrasted Newtonian mechanics with Langrangian and Hamiltonian mechanics.
2   To be able to investigate motion of celestial bodies
3   To be able to treat rigid body motion in both kinematical and dynamical point of view
4   To be able to apply Lagrange equations of motion
5   To be able to apply Hamilton equations of motion
6   To be able to perform vector and tensor calculus in solving mechanical problems
