Course Objective

In this lecture it's aimed to teach the central principles of the quantum theory of solids to people who have knowledge of quantum theory and condensed matter physics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to understand the basic concepts such as phonon, plasmon, polarization, magnon.
2   Being able to learn the methods of Fermion fields and Hartree-Fock approximation.
3   Being able to understand the techniques of many-body, interaction of electron-phonon and apply to many-body systems.
4   Being able to learn the definition of superconductivity.
5   Being able to learn the properties of Bloch functions, Brillouin zone and crystal symmetry.
6   Being able to calculate the energy bands od many-body systems.

2.Final examination will be evaluated by essay or test type examination technique.
