Course Objective

Image processing is a broad subject encompassing studies of physics, geography, electrical engineering, computer science and mathemathics. Fundamentals of digital image acquisition, processing, segmentation and classification by a computer will be covered. Its applications in medicine, geography, industry, defence, microscopy and other fields will be discussed. Releated programs will be run on computer to visualize the results of several image process.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Teach the student to appreciate how image processing is and its applications are applied.
2   Develope the students abilities
3   Improve to use the Matlab programme
