Course Objective |
The main objectives of the course are to describe the microbial degradation and conversion pathways of some environmentally important organic compounds such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated organic substances, xenobiotics etc., to discuss the microbial cultures and enzymes involved in biodegradation and bioconversion of these organic substances and to define the end products or by products generated at the end of the biotransformation. |
