Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to give theoretical knowledge about principles of "Material and electric", "Electric field and magnetic field", "Principles of motors, generator and transformer", "Properties that welding machines should have", "Control and adjustment of welding machines", "Welding machines according to their structures", "welding machines that have diode, thyristor and transistor", "Inverter type welding machines". In this course, using of these techniques in industry are also taught by giving examples.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Teaching of U and I adjustment and control systems.
2   Teaching of welding machines and their properties according to their static characteristics.
3   Teaching of behaviors, voltage-current and current-time characteristics of welding machines with same static characteristics and different dynamic characteristics at the time of short-circuit.
4   Teaching of properties, power adjustments and power controls of redressors with diode, thyristor and transistor.
5   Teaching of properties and operation principles of inverter type welding machines.
