Course Objective

This course aims to provide a compherensive technical details for designing earthfill dams starting from planning stage to construction phase. The course is bringing together the fundamentals of hydrology, hydraulics and geotechnical engineering knowledge in designing dams.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to collect, interpret, apply, and evaluate the data.
2   To be able to solve the problems by using appropriate research methods.
3   To be able to have a critical approach to the gained knowledge and skills at the level of his expertise field.
4   To be able to have a systematic way to export the current developments and his/her work to the groups in and out of the field as written, oral and visual communication effectively.
5   To be able to gain high-level skills in using research methods.
