Course Objective |
The course Principles of lasers aims to make the students understand basic physical principles of light generation and amplification. Throughout the course students will relate the laser operation principles to the subjects of atom and molecular physics, solid state physics, and physical optics. After haven taken this course the student will understand operational principles and construction of lasers and be able to describe properties of different types of lasers and their application areas. |
