Course Objective

The enormous growth of inorganic and organometallic chemistry in the last few decades has in large part been the result of improvements in the quality and speed of the characterization of new compounds, including their structure. Throughout the lecture the aim is to help the postgraduate students to interpret experimental data, to undestand the material published in modern journals of inorganic and organometallic chemistry and to make decisions about what tecniques will be the most useful in solving particular structural problems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to play an active role in the production, research and development sections of chemistry- related areas both in public and private sectors.
2   To have the ability to work effectively in chemistry related units
3   To gain the ability to make an interaction on national and international levels in order to foster chemistry education.
4   To have the ability to follow latest developments in the field, to improve current information and to propose new ideas and methods for researches.
5   To be able to make research collaborations by using student exchange programs.
