Course Objective

The aim of this course is to gain the competences of making computer-aided professional drawings.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to use the basic elements of computer-aided drawing and design (CAD)
2   To be able to understand the purpose of drawing and editing commands
3   To be able to establish a relationship between commands and geometry to be drawn
4   To be able to prepare two and three dimensional projects in computer environment
5   To be able to print out a drawn shape

1 Selecting computer aided drawing options and using coordinate system with screen editing and drawing auxiliary commands
2 Using drawing commands
3 Using editing commands
4 Using drawing commands
5 Using editing commands
6 Making dimensioning adjustments and using dimensioning commands
7 Making dimensioning adjustments and using dimensioning commands
8 Midterm Exam
9 Changing the properties of the drawing elements, changing the dimensions, adding surface treatment marks and adding tolerances.
10 Add text to drawing
11 Isometric drawing
12 Layer adjustment
13 Using file extensions for 2D (two-dimensional) data transfer
14 Using file extensions for 3D (three-dimensional) data transfer
15 Selecting the printer defined for printing, selecting the paper size to be used for printing and printing.
