Course Objective

To learn the basic techniques of molding, mold materials and mold making knowledge and skills sets are used.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Mold materials, poured alloy and to identify the appropriate method.
2   Parameters that affect the construction of an efficient classification of mold.
3   Mould construction phases to apply
4   Moulding materials to analyze the effects of mold.
5   Breakdown by type of plan and perform the process flow of the selected pattern.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Foundry industry, importance. The importance of casting molding.
2 Devices work conditions and safety measures.
3 Introduction to molding, mold, and the effect of the importance of input materials.
4 Mold making use of hand sets and other devices
5 Mold making applications.
6 Single, double and multi-piece molding of the model. Macal molding.
7 Mid-term exam
8 Mid-term exam
9 Top grade, climbing grade, plate making molds model
10 Preparation and resin sand molding.
11 Models mold making techniques (stripping, turuso)
12 Feeder practices and mold sprue solidification map goner.
13 Other types of mold: mold, foam, e.pres, gypsum, shell, v.proses.vb analyzes.
14 And analysis of errors due to mold casting.
