Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to gain, using the bench lathe, machining the act screws in accordance with the standards and procedures to make a special turning, using the milling machine machining the flat and helical gears on the bench is to gain proficiency.

2 Trapezoidal screw definition, characteristics and trapezoidal threading techniques, trapezoidal screw cutters, trapezoidal breakers connected on the counter
3 Round screw-definition, characteristics, and round threading techniques
4 Round screw-breakers, round screw connection of the counter-breakers, round screw considerations to be taken into consideration in attracting
5 Multi-mouthed screw-definition, characteristics and techniques of machining- multi-mouthed screw
6 Multi-mouthed screw-cutters, multi-mouthed screw-breakers connected to the counter, multi-mouthed screw considerations to be taken into consideration in attracting

9 Springs definition, characteristics, types, uses, spring calculation, winding the spring on the lathe

Assessment Criteria

At least 5 learning outcomes will be measured with midterm, homework and final exams, and the stage of the student in reaching these learning outcomes will be monitored with weekly assignments.

1. 70% of theoretical courses, 80% of practical classes attendance is compulsory.
2. Workshop apron must be worn in work practices.
3. To comply with machine use and safety regulations is mandatory while working in workshop.
