Course Objective

This course aims to enable students to recognize number systems and digital codes, understand the basic working principles of logic circuits, and design digital circuits.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to convert between numeric systems and between digital codes
2   To be able to design circuits with logic gates by using Boolean algebra and Karnaugh memory
3   To be able to analyze comparators, decoders, encoders, multiplexer and demultiplexer tcircuits
4   To be able to design synchronous and asynchronous counters
5   To be able to explain the operation of DAC and ADC circuits that provide information exchange between digital and analog systems
