Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to inform students about basic concepts and theories in economics, especially supply and demand, national income, inflation, consumption, development, monetary and fiscal policy and foreign trade and enable students to interpret the current developments in the light of the basic knowledge in economics.

1   To be able to explain basic concepts in economics
2   To be able to define the formation of market equilibrium
3   To be able to explain the national income equation
4   To be able to explain monetary, fiscal and foreign trade policies
5   To be able to summarize main theories in economics
6   To be able to evaluate policy implications and the current situation in national economy in the light of the knowledge attained
