Course Objective

The objective of this course is to develop the knowledge about harmonizing the graphics of the drawings and the model, producing the architectural and environmental elements with appropriate materials, techniques and detailing in the given scale; and to gain skill of production by experiencing the process.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to perceive the general characteristics of architectural models prepared for different purposes at different stages of design.
2   To be able to design a model compatible with the architectural project within the framework of an expression integrity.
3   Arranging the level of detailing of natural and artificial environmental elements with architectural design in accordance with the scale of the model.
4   To be able to choose suitable materials (planar, curvilinear, bar, elastic and plastic) for architectural design and natural and artificial environmental elements.
5   To be able to turn the materials into model elements using appropriate and up-to-date techniques.
6   It is expected that they will gain the skills to take a suitable photograph of the model and present the prepared portfolio.
