Course Objective |
This course focuses on understanding and planning the concept of the city within the integrity of the region and the natural environment. For this purpose, the course includes studies on the planning of the urban and rural environment within the unity of the province / basin, within the framework of natural, historical, social, economic and spatial characteristics, by considering the balance of protection and use. At the same time, it is aimed to learn concepts related to upper scale planning such as urban growth control, water basin protection, disaster prevention and rural development balance, which gain importance within the framework of sustainability, by discussing them within the analysis and planning processes. |

This course will be given through lectures, readings, field survey, research about examples, preparation of research reports and maps in the form of individual or group work, critiques of projects carried out in the form of individual or group work and preparation of project reports. |

In order for students' work to be graded, they must be submitted in full and presented in the announced jury exams (intermediate juries and final juries). Studies not submitted by the student in the jury exams are not taken into consideration. |

Course Policies and Rules |
The critiques given over individual and group projects and reports will form the basis of the course. It is important that students regularly attend project critiques. Participation status of the students in the critiques will also be considered and this participation in group work will be taken into consideration in order to determine the contribution of the students to the group work. Students are required to have a good command of case studies and legislation related to planning. |
