Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the students to learn a brief description of cryptography and practical applications that have been implemented to provide network security.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Distinguish the differences in security protocols
2   Explain the technologies used in network security.
3   Know the importance of secure communication
4   Understand the importance of security in low-power devices such as the Internet of Things (IoT).
5   Possess the knowledge of denial of service attacks.
