Course Objective

Within the scope of this course, basic design subjects such as classification, characteristics, dynamic behaviour, structural design, lubrication, cooling of internal combustion engines will be introduced.

Lessons covering the theoretical design principles of internal combustion engines are conveyed to students with the help of presentations.

A sufficient number of students participating in the course get marks in exams and presentation by multiplying the percentage of specified in the table. (%50 of presentation marks are determined by course instructor and the other %50 part are determined by students that participate the presentation and the average of marks are calculated.)

Assessment Criteria

The theoretical background explained in the lectures is evaluated through two midterms, a project and a final exam.
