Course Objective

Sound and noise control is a prominent subject of national platforms in recent years. This subject gains popularity due to the reasons of developing environmental consciousness and EU harmony. Since in Türkiye, this subject is not highly studied in academic level; university courses and their expert education potential are limited . The objective of this course is to provide the students the capability of making analysis, measurement, evaluation and taking precaution on this developing field in Türkiye.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Defining basic technical terms on sound and noise
2   Explaining basic physics and mathematics of sound
3   Interpreting and solving sound and noise problems
4   Making experiments by using sound and noise measuring devices, and evaluating the results
5   Determining precautions on noise control
