Course Objective

To teach the mine ventilation methods, principles and ventilation calculations for the comfort and security of underground workers.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To explain the mechanism that ensures air flow in mines
2   To known and to be able to use the instruments that are used in mine ventilation measurements
3   To determine the situation of hazard according to the analysis results of mine air
4   To calculate the amount of air and the ventilation power that are required in working places
5   To plan mine ventilation network in compliance with the mining method
6   To take the necessary measures for providing mine safety

8 Auxiliary ventilation, required air quantity calculations

12 Mine climate and heat sources in mines
