Course Objective

Computer aided mine design techiques in mining industry is commonly used for optimum production determination of ore deposits. Many mine deposits contain mixed geological conditions. To invest on ore deposit, ore quality etc. are should known. At this point, usage of computer aided mine design software plays a significant role to analysing and minimizing of economical risks of mine. This course will inform to students about computer aided mine software and usage area of it.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 The introduction of computer aided mine design and Presentation will carried out about it s usage area.
2 The presentation of computer aided mine design programs and application.
3 The presentation of digitizing of mine field area and creating data base.
4 Application study will be carried out for students with sample data issues.
5 Digitized data base will be given to students and a brief presentation will be make about loading these data.
6 The application study of digitized data base will be carried out for mine design.
7 The application study will be carried out about loading digitized data to program.
8 Student groups will carry out presentation using mine field data. Lecturer will carry out presentation to fix for student's errors.
9 The sample mine model will be given to students and a brief presentation will be make about loading mine model to program.
10 The discussion will be carried out about mine design.
11 The open pit mine design application study will be carried out for mine field.
12 The open pit mine design application study will be carried out for mine field.
13 The underground mine design application study will be carried out for mine field.
14 The underground mine design application study will be carried out for mine field.
