Course Objective

Teaching the behaviours of natural materials which is described as soil by utilizing the principles of mechanics and hydrolic.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to describe soil structure and index properties
2   Being able to classify soils according to the classification system
3   Being able to measure the soil permeability
4   Being able to analyse the stres condition
5   Being able to install the relationships between soil compaction and soil settlement
6   Being able to perform the analyses of soil bearing capacity
7   Being able to analyse the stability of soil slopes
8   Being able to finalize the soil investigation report
