Course Objective |
The purpose of this course is to inform the students about the subject of the ground improvement, which has an important place in Geotechnical Engineering. In this way, the course aims to present the techniques for the improvement of the soil bearing capacity and to guide the students for the selection of the appropriate ground improvement technique, which they may be faced in practice. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The courses will be conducted in the class and will be supported by presentations. The students will be informed about the topics before the class, so they will have brief information about each week s topic. Three laboratory works will be performed in course period in order to represent the some of the ground improvement techniques in laboratory. The reports and presentation of the laboratory work will be presented by the students. |

Further Notes About Assessment Methods |
The laboratory test will be conducted by student groups and will be associated with each other. The works will be presented at the end of the semester. |

The participation and laboratory work will be considered on the evaluation. At the end of the laboratory work, a report has to be prepared and represented. |
