Course Objective |
Numerical modeling and solution of certain geotechnical problems such as slope stability, seepage and bearing capacity using finite element and finite differences technique are covered in this course. It is aimed that the student would be aware of the software solutions by comparing them with those of the analytical methods. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
Numerical solution software will be introduced in the classroom using data show equipment. The students will be able to attend at the class with their own laptops. The analyses will be conducted and be discussed in detail during lecture time. The model data will be handed over to the registered students. |
