Course Objective

The aim of this course is to get to know the businesses operating in the manufacturing sector, and to experience the applications of the theoretical knowledge and methods explained in the courses in the businesses.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   An ability to strengthen and increase the retention of the conceptual knowledge gained in industrial engineering field of study through the practical implementations in the facility
2   An ability to use and apply cognitive (logical, intuitional and creative thinking) and practical (the use of hands, procedures, tools and equipments) skills gained in his/her field of study to solve the problems he/she encounters in the facility and perform multidisciplinary work
3   An ability use industrial engineering problem solving tools and solution techniques (mathematical programming, simulation) to solve the problems in the facility.
4   An ability to apply supply chain management decisions to case studies.
5   An ability to contribute to the solutions of the problems encountered in the facility by evaluating the processes handled and managed as whole in the field of study.
