Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to introduce the students to different scheduling problems and solution methods encountered in production and service systems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define production scheduling concepts and scheduling problem types
2   Distinguish between appropriate solution approaches for different performance metrics
3   To be able to solve problems with optimization and heuristic methods used in solving scheduling problems
4   To be able to do homework/project according to the instructions given on the subjects related to the course content
